October

God has richly blessed Lansing Christian School with very talented students.  Our sports teams have been very competitive this fall and have won many games.  This week our boy’s tennis team participated in the SMAA league championship.  The following students have been recognized as second team all conference: Joey Helder, Minchul Kim, Steven Hofman, Hansol Suh, and Tucker Riffle.  Our girls’ volleyball team is featured in the e-letter picture and is ranked fifth in state.  Our boys’ soccer team is ranked second in state.   The LCS combined football team (with Lansing Catholic) is ranked fourth in the state.  You are invited to help cheer on our students to victory.  The sports schedules may be found by clicking here

I have been reading the book, “True Bucketfilling Stories: Legacies of Love.”  This book has stories of people who have turned their lives around by applying Christian principles to their lives and living by giving to others.  One of the stories depicts a young mother and her three adopted children after they were deserted by their father.  They fought with depression until they begin to volunteer at a homeless shelter in order to fill the “buckets” of others.  In return they found that their caring for others filled their own “buckets.”  Each day we have the opportunity to bring Christ to the forefront of our lives and live for him by caring for others, being a true friend like Christ in Heb. 13:5, “There is no better friend, for we know that He’ll never leave us or forsake us.”  Join with the students at Lansing Christian School in filling the buckets of others!
